the dance class that sounds like an exotic vegetable

Meanwhile, down at Karen Hardy's dance studio, The Legologist has swapped zumba for bokwa, and after an initial can't-do-it wobble and some issues with her calves, is just doing it. Leggies trust me, if you wish to shape up and lose a stone before Christmas - and are quite fit already (this is not a dance class for fitness beginners) try it, you will not regret it.  Bokwa is designed to enhance health and motor skills. It's an intense high impact cardio workout that mixes a variety of genres of dance, including African and aerobic, with movement forms. The instructor uses hand signals and sign language to guide the class through each new routine (which caused a few issues for The Legologist at first because she is shortsighted and doesn't wear contact lens, but has now resigned herself to being one step behind the rest of the class), and can personalise routines too, so although you learn exact steps, the combination of those steps are always different and you don't go through the same repetitious routines week after week, which keeps things interesting. Click here for more info.
