The Legologist's signature Aveda pedi

The Legologist is starting the week with the most exciting news since she began blogging - the unveiling of her own pedicure: leggies we now have The Leg Room Luxe Pedicure, a signature treatment created with Aveda, which includes the techniques and treatments The Legologist believes to be most beneficial. My 60-minute pedi is designed to address all your foot and lower leg care needs at a time of the year when this area of your body is most on show. It leaves feet perfectly polished, toenails painted and you with a confident spring in your step. So this is the pedi to have before a holiday - when you want your feet to look great without maintenance, prior to a big summery event when sky-high sandals are a must, or perhaps at the end of the summer when you feel your poor old feet deserve a treat. There is a wonderful saying - that the foot feels the foot when it feels the ground - which has been a good yardstick for The Legologist as a blogger. Since The Leg Room opened in May 2009 the aim has been to give guests grounded advice on improving the lower half of their bodies - legs, feet, bums, the muffin top - all of it, from a leg-fanatic, with fun observations on trends and treatments thrown in. To be invited to collaborate on a signature treatment with Aveda - unarguably the most successful botanical beauty company in the world - is high honour for a blogger and a measure of The Leg Room's success. The Legologist began blogging as an outlet to write about a subject she loves - I took my passion and made it happen! - and in the coming months the repertoire will expand to giddy heights with more exciting developments.  Meantime, get thee to the Aveda Institute for grade A treatment, self-time (there will be a chilled glass of antioxidant-rich carrot, apple, pear and parsley juice waiting for you) and results. Basically leggies, this is beauty at its absolute best.

THE LEG ROOM LUXE PEDI

Lego's feet (almost as wide
as they are long) get a
well earned rest after an
afternoon's work
with Aveda to create
The Leg Room Luxe Pedi
1. Treatment begins with a Chakra Sensory journey in which you choose your own mix of Ayurvedic chakra-balancing aromas to add to the pedicure products. There are 7 aromas to choose from – for The Legologist it had to be number 1, Aveda's grounding blend of essential oils olbanum, patchouli and vetiver – and their scents rebalance you via your root (feet) meridiens.
2. This is followed by a foot buff with Aveda Tourmaline Exfoliating Cleanser mixed with Aveda Soothing Aqua Salt Scrub to give it extra clout around tough skin on the soles.
3. Next your feet get masked up – Aveda Tourmaline Radiance Mask goes on top of your feet and Caribbean Seaweed Mask on the soles. Serious luxury!
4. If your feet need it the pedicurist then eases off more hard skin and massages Aveda Foot Relief Cream (personalised with your Chakra scent) into your feet.
5. The finish is an application of polish (of course!) in dark berry Lincoln Park After Dark - The Legologist's favourite toe-slimming colour  to perfect your feet for confident exposure.
* The Leg Room Luxe Pedicure at the Aveda Institute costs £45 for a 60 min treatment. Call 020 7759 7355 to book or email
institute.london@aveda.co.uk and say The Legologist sent you.

I love this place- really enjoyed going there. (And a good choice of polish too, although needs a very good base coat in my experience!)
